TCW-500R v.4 6.5″ In-Ceiling Speaker
TAGA Harmony TCW series speakers provide superior sound performance at amazing price levels. They utilize very stiff and strong injection-molded polymer chassis, which minimize distortion, vibrations or resonances and specialized mounting brackets that make installation very easy. All speakers are designed to be used both in music and home theatre systems in any area of your home or commercial applications.
This is the 4thdeeply-upgraded edition of one of the most popular speaker in the series.
The sound of the new edition was significantly improved now it is more clear, natural, dynamic and provides wider dispersion throughout a listening area.
The proper design facilitates installations thanks to many specialized features
- Very slim chassis to allow installations even in shallow places;
- TIMPC – TAGA Injection-Molded Polymer Chassis is very rigid and strong to minimize distortions, vibrations or resonances;
- TEI– TAGA Easy Install mounting brackets are extremely easy and safe to install. The ABS clamps are in a visible blue color to ease installation in dark places;
- +/- 2dB Environmental Equalizer (treble switch) compensates for speaker positioning and room anomalies;
- Swivel tweeter to direct a high frequency stream toward selected area in a room;
- TEC – TAGA Easy Connection: all speakers use high quality push-in banana binding posts accepting raw speaker cables up to 10AWG and most popular types of connectors (banana or pin plugs). Our binding posts make an installation very easy task to do;

TCW SERIES
GRILLS, CHASSIS AND BRACKETS
Chassis made of very rigid and strong injection-molded polymer to minimize distortion, vibrations or resonances. Sandwich-like mounting brackets are very easy to install and reinforce area around the mounting hole. All grills and chassis of TAGA Harmony speakers are paintable.
TIMPC – TAGA Injection-Molded Polymer Chassis with a honeycomb structure (selected models) is very rigid and strong to minimize distortions, vibrations or resonances. Additional rubber coating in selected models further stiffens chassis and improves sound performance.
TEI – TAGA Easy Install mounting brackets are extremely easy and safe to install.The ABS clamps are in a visible blue color (selected models) to ease installation in dark places.
TSLB – TAGA Super Low-profile Bezel grills (selected models) are magnetically mounted and paintable. They are aesthetic and virtually disappear in the ceiling or wall.
TWEETERS
Depending on the model we use 1” (25mm) ; 0.75” (19mm) or 0.5″ (13mm) ferrofluid cooled and damped, titanium (TPTTD Taga Pure Titanium Tweeter Dome), Silk or Myral dome tweeters in single driver or dual driver configuration (2×0.75” or 2×0.5″) for better dispersion of high frequencies around the room.
The performance of our drivers can be characterized as very accurate, clear, smooth and detailed as well as can handle high power inputs. We pay special attention to equal and flat dispersion of sound in and off the axis of the driver.

MID-RANGE DRIVER (SELECTED MODELS)
3-way models utilize rigid and ultra-light mylar mid-range drivers with the butyl suspension that can move very fast and frequently allowing mid-range frequencies to be very rich, spacious and sweet. Heavy duty voice coil can stand high temperatures and power inputs.
WOOFER
Woofer utilizing polypropylene cone and heavy duty voice coil and coil former is responsible for high power handling as well as deep, precise and detailed bass and rich, sweet midranges. Selected models have woofers with Kevlar® cones, which are ultra rigid and light, ensure great dispersion at all frequencies, extra dynamic, natural, clear and powerful sound performance.
FULL-RANGE DRIVER
In selected models we utilize high-performance full-range drivers with a polypropylene cone. They provide a very fine balance of frequency ranges with detailed and precise highs, rich and open mids and well defined and low bass.
CROSSOVER (SELECTED MODELS)
High quality, close-tolerance and precisely selected crossovers’ components and internal wires for absolute sound neutrality, high long-term power and reliability.
